Rag Wreath Workshop

Fundraising Craft Workshops

Rag Wreath Workshops return to Genesis Centre – Locksheath, this time with a Easter theme using pastels, florals and maybe a Easter character or two!

Our next workshop will take place on Saturday 8 March between 2pm and 4pm at a cost of £15 per person. A great opportunity to meet with friends and create a beautiful decoration for the home.

These sessions raise funds for Y Services. All materials are included. Suitable for ages 13+, under 18s must attend with an adult. Book your place by emailing genesis@yservices.co.uk

Y Services AGM

AGM at XPerience Youth Centre

The Y Services For Young People AGM is taking place on Saturday 2 November 2024 at 10am. The meeting will be held at the XPerience building, Trinity Street, Fareham.

This meeting will provide an update about the charity’s performance and achievements of the past year, present the charity’s annual accounts and trustees’ annual report and cover any other business, such as the appointment of new trustees.

The AGM is also where you can ask questions about how the charity is being run.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Y Health Locks Heath

Health and well being project returns to Y Services

Y Health Locks Heath started this week at Genesis Centre, Locks Heath. The session, suitable for 11 to 16 year olds, supports health and well being through discussion, activities and cooking.

It is a free session starting at 3pm until 5pm. For more information about the project email charlie@yservices.co.uk.

This project is supported by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation and Kenwood Community Fund.

Aviva Community Funding

Matchfunding opportunity with Aviva

Y Services, like a lot of small charities are seeking funding through different avenues. We have a unique opportunity to work in partnership with Aviva to support young people with developing their financial skills for the future. With this funding, every Y Services youth club will have activities to support financial wellbeing over the next 12 months.

Emoji Workshop at Fratton

Fratton Youth Club recently welcomed Clare and Paul from Splodge Designs to the project. Clare and Paul delivered an Emoji Making Workshop, artwork created during the session will be projected during a public puppet show performance in September.

Young people attending Fratton Youth Club were beaming with pride after seeing their art pieces as a collective group and can’t wait to see them in the performance.

Fratton Youth Club is part of a city wide community art project by Splodge Designs gathering designs to be part of the show taking place at Portsmouth Guildhall’s studio theatre. The event is free but entry is by ticket only. We will post a link as soon as tickets are available.
