Become a Volunteer
Can you spare 3 hours on a regular basis to volunteer with young people?
Y Services for Young People are looking for new volunteers to help out at a number of different projects. Y Services provide open access youth clubs, an inclusive SEN group, LGBTQ+ projects as well as Play Rangers, 1:1s and alternative education. From energetic clubs to chilled projects we can match your skills and interests to the right project for you.
If you are interested please email recruitment@yservices.co.uk for more information. All staff and volunteers must provide references and be subject to DBS checks.
We asked for some feedback from our current volunteers and this is what they said –
“Volunteering is great for meeting new friends and colleagues and can be rewarding and highly inspirational”
“Every day is a school day… either you teach something or you learn something“
“When I was younger, I was fortunate enough to have a safe space created by a group of volunteers to meet and make new friends at a local youth club, I wanted to give other young people the same opportunity that I had so I joined as a volunteer for Y services to enable me to give back.”
“Volunteering with Y services enables me to switch off from the stresses of my full-time job by switching my mindset to directly focus on the needs of the young people by sharing education through life experience, life skills and knowledge in particular area”
